HR Internship - September 2023

The mission of the HR department spans the entire employee lifecycle, from the candidate experience during the recruitment stage to developing and retaining the employees of the company, while solidifying Talkwalker as a great place to work and providing a fantastic employee experience.

Talkwalker is a leading consumer intelligence company with over 2,500 clients globally. Through our AI-powered analytics platform, we gather data from the conversations that happen around brands - online, in the media, and within companies themselves - to uncover, understand, and actionable consumer insights. We are extremely international, with headquarters in Luxembourg and offices in New York City, Frankfurt, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, Milan, and London.

This internship will begin in September 2023 for a period of six months.
 
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the world of HR? We are seeking a dynamic and motivated intern to join our team and support our global HR efforts across multiple entities and locations. This internship is not your typical coffee-fetching experience. Get ready to dive into the fascinating realm of HR and unleash your potential in a fast-paced, international environment!

Key responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition
  • Assist in coordinating interview schedules, sending out interview invitations, and ensuring a smooth interview process for candidates.
  • Conduct reference checks for selected candidates, maintaining accurate documentation of outcomes.
  • Be the first point of contact for candidates, providing timely and friendly responses to inquiries and keeping them updated on the status of their applications.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to post job advertisements on various job boards and social media platforms, ensuring maximum visibility.

  • HR Operations
  • Assist with pre-employment checks, including background checks, employment verification, and other screening processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Support the HR team in analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights to improve recruitment processes and outcomes.
  • Proactively contribute to building and maintaining talent pipelines, engaging with potential candidates and ensuring a strong talent pool for future hiring needs.
  • Support new joiner medical checks and provide assistance with day-to-day HR activities, answering employee queries, and supporting engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with exit documentation, HR adhoc projects, daily administration tasks, and handling DocuSigns, ensuring accurate and organized record-keeping.

  • Payroll
  • Collaborate with the team to handle time off adjustments, RFP requests, and employee insurance affiliations.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for our international teams;
  • Assist with data entry, scanning and filing of payroll-related documents;
  • Help with the implementation of a new payroll processes and tools and ensure all necessary data is entered correctly;
  • Collaborate with HR team to ensure accuracy of employee information and data;
  • Support with payroll-related projects and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
  • Must-have qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Adaptable and positive mindset;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional demeanor;
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and precision in tasks and documentation;
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
  • Strong team player with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Previous experience or coursework in human resources-related fields;
  • Show us your enthusiasm for HR!
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and experience with HR systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus;
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and experience with employer branding or candidate sourcing;
  • A global mindset and cultural adaptability;

  • 1st interview with Zach, our Talent & Culture Business Partner - 45 minutes
  • 2nd interview with Payroll & HR Ops team - 60 minutes
  • Final interview with our Head of HR - 30 minutes
